That’s a wrap, Melbourne!
As we reflect on the success of CeMAT AUSTRALIA 2022, we also look to the future and announce 2023 dates for the event’s return to Sydney.
You only have to look at the LinkedIn and Facebook posts tagging CeMAT AUSTRALIA to see just how much everyone - from our sponsors to our delegates - enjoyed the event’s return to Melbourne.
Thank you to all the delegates, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and partners for making Australia’s leading trade show for intralogistics, robotics and automation, warehousing, supply chain management and material handling such a success.
Looking back on the feedback we received and the most popular conference sessions, the issues that are top of mind right now are: automation, automation, automation; the complex conundrum of just-in-time vs just-in-case; and labour shortages that are affecting every link in the supply chain.
There was also an overwhelmingly positive sentiment regarding reconnecting with the community in person again.
Here’s a small selection of what people had to say about CeMAT 2022
Ben Jamieson, Jester Event Services
“It was a great expo as a visiting company owner who came to check out some new equipment. I left the expo with two new business partners.”
Rakesh Bandipelli, President for VIC/TAS Division - SCLAA at Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA)
“It has been a fantastic 3 days at #cemataus and was very honored to be on the panel alongside Christine G. Miller Stephen Lakey Flavio Macau discussing about Technology is necessary, but business is still personal. Some key takeaways are -
✔Emphasize growth opportunities
✔Get the training right
✔Keep investing in safety
✔Create a safe space where employees feel welcomed to try new things
As organizations look to the future, they must both address workers’ fears and build on their optimism by working to provide safe, productive workplaces and real opportunities for growth.”
Gina Mitchell, Marketing Manager, SICK
“Along with many industry users and supplies, we were looking forward to the much-anticipated CeMAT Australia 2022 and it did not disappoint.
CeMAT provided a targeted event which gave SICK a great opportunity to meet face-to-face with both current and new clients where we facilitated live demonstrations of our latest logistics Automation technologies and systems.
We’ve had brilliant conversations across the three days with some key decision makers and are pleased with the number and quality of delegates this exhibition had attracted.
We look forward to participating in CeMAT 2023 in Sydney with great expectations to continue with this success and continue to develop our footprint in the global hub of logistics!”
Amber Mostert, Marketing Manager, Big Ass Fans
"The team at CeMAT were very professional, organised and easy to work with. James and Silvia were so helpful with our advertising package and speaking positions which was a breath of fresh air from other shows! The team have certainly proven themselves as diligent, but what truly sets them apart is their ability to create opportunities for exhibitors to really network with the attendees and other exhibitors. All around it was a really fun show to be a part of!"
Sven Klockmannc, APAC Sales Manager, Cognex
“Absolutely blown away by the number of visitors that came to the show and visited our booth. Meeting so many new people really helped us put our name out there as a new vendor in Australia. It was a great networking opportunity, and we are looking forward to attending again next year.”
Darren Lee, Sales & Marketing Manager, Automation Systems & Controls
"There was anticipation that CeMAT 2022 would be a hotbed of keen, interested decision makers wanting to find solutions to their Supply Chain pinch points. Peter Williams, Chief Edge Officer, Centre for the Edge at Deloitte Australia
“Supply chain professionals, you are now on the main stage. You need to find your inner creativity. Technology isn’t a silver bullet but combined with some creative people it sure can help.
