4 Reasons to Enter the Australian Forklift Championships

This year, CeMAT Australia is teaming up with official sponsor Hyundai Forklifts Australia and media partner Forkliftaction to present the inaugural Australian Forklift Championships, where the best of the best in Aussie forklift drivers will compete in a national competition of materials handling excellence, demonstrating masterful driving, unflinching concentration, and game determination.

But why enter the Australian Forklift Championships?

If the idea of competing against the best of the best isn’t enough for you, here are four more reasons to enter the competition.

1. Demonstrating Your Skills

How often does a highly skilled forklift operator truly get to show off their skills? Forklifts are most often used practically, especially given Australia’s unyielding material handling standards and safety restrictions. If you think your skills in safety, accuracy, knowledge, and speed go above and beyond those of your peers and what is required, this is your opportunity to show that off.

2. Becoming the First Ever Winner

The inaugural version of the Australian Forklift Championships will decide who the best forklift operator in the country is and provide that winner with one of the world’s highest warehouse business skills-based accolades. Beyond that, though, the winner of this particular version will have the continual honour of being the first ever winner of the Bill Henman Trophy. Imagine that on the resume.

3. It’s All For Charity

All proceeds of the event will be going to the Official Charity Partner, Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds. Built on the three key pillars of training, standards and wellness, the goal of the foundation is to provide everyone in the transport and logistics industries with what they need to support their mental health and physical wellbeing and to ensure these needs are recognised as being vital to support a thriving workforce into tomorrow.

4. Bragging Rights and Prizes

What could be better than having bragging rights over your friends and peers?!

Well, maybe $1000? That's what the overall winner of the competition will receive, with the winner of each heat receiving $250!

Whatever your reason for entering, there's amazing stuff to be won!

The Australian Forklift Championships Finals will be on at CeMAT Australia 2023. Sign up now to compete for the title.
